Celebrate Willie Wiredhand’s Birthday

Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives are celebrating a big milestone – Willie Wiredhand’s 75th Birthday is this year! To mark the occasion, we’re inviting local students and community members to enter a statewide coloring contest.

  • Who can enter: EVERYONE! (Four categories: PK–2, 3–5, 6–8, and HS+)                   
  • LREC deadline: October 17, 2025
  • Winners announced: October 30, 2025
  • Prizes: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place awarded in EACH category

How to Enter

  1. Color the official Willie Wiredhand birthday sheet and complete the information. (name, grade, school, city, and co-op).
  2. Return your entry by October 17 directly to LREC, drop off at one of our office locations, or mail to our office. 
  • Lake Region's earlier deadline is to collect and batch mail all entries to the OAEC offices in Oklahoma City.
