Encouraging the Next Generation to Get Registered
In recognition of National Voter Registration Day, Lake Region Electric Cooperative helped Hulbert High School juniors and seniors learn more about voter registration and the importance of civic engagement. Lake Region Youth Tour Ambassador Levi Kirk helped coordinate the visit, bringing the cooperative spirit of community involvement and leadership back to his fellow students at Hulbert High School. Eligible students who are at least 17½ years old can register to vote, taking an important first step toward participating in future elections. As a member-owned electric cooperative, Lake Region believes informed and engaged members help build strong communities. Encouraging young people to become involved is one way we can help prepare the next generation to have a voice in the communities they call home.
