System Upgrade and Improved SmartHub Experience

Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) and Lake Region Technology & Communications (LRTC) are upgrading their customer management system to provide greater security, improved efficiency and better tools for serving members and fiber customers. The upgrade will require a planned maintenance window Tuesday, November 10, through Sunday, November 15, 2026.

During this time, LREC and LRTC account systems, including SmartHub, will be offline. Members and fiber customers should be aware of the following temporary service interruptions:

What to Expect During the Upgrade

  • Office Closures: Our Wagoner and Tahlequah offices will be closed Tuesday, November 10, through Monday, November 16. Both locations will reopen with regular business hours on Tuesday, November 17. Our Hulbert headquarters will remain open during this time.
  • Payments: Online and phone payments will be unavailable for both electric and fiber accounts. Cash or check payments may still be made in person at our Hulbert headquarters. Check payments may also be mailed. All payments received during the maintenance window will be securely held and processed Monday, November 16.
  • Account Changes: Service transfers, AutoPay changes and contact information updates will be unavailable during the upgrade.
  • Disconnections: LREC and LRTC will suspend disconnections for nonpayment during the week of November 10. Standard procedures will resume Monday, November 16.

Outage Reporting and Technical Support Will Remain Available

While account management services will be temporarily unavailable, power outage reporting and LRTC technical support will not be affected. Members should continue reporting power outages and service issues by calling 918-772-2526. LRTC technical support will also remain available 24/7 at the same number.

Two Accounts, One SmartHub App

One of the biggest benefits of this upgrade is a more convenient SmartHub experience. Beginning November 16, LREC members and LRTC fiber subscribers will have access to an improved SmartHub platform. Instead of using separate applications for electric and fiber accounts, users will be able to access and manage both accounts through one SmartHub app. “Soon, our members will have a single application where they can access and manage both of their accounts,” said Larry Mattes, Director of Marketing. “The added simplicity of having both accounts in one place will make it easier for our members to access their account information and make changes when needed.”

The new SmartHub app will be available through the Apple App Store and Google Play by searching SmartHub, Utilities. Additional information and instructions will be provided on our website to help members and fiber customers navigate the updated platform.

Thank You for Your Patience

We understand that temporary interruptions can be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience as we make these improvements. This upgrade is an important step toward providing a more secure, efficient and convenient account management experience for the members and fiber customers we serve. We look forward to introducing the improved SmartHub experience beginning November 16!
