Lake Region Safety Coordinator Earns National Safety Certification
This nationally recognized certification is awarded through an intensive program offered by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and the National Utility Training and Safety Education Association. The program requires a significant commitment and includes multiple week-long training sessions, a 30-hour OSHA course, written exams, and a final project focused on improving safety practices within the electric utility industry.
Mo is one of only a small number of electric utility professionals nationwide to earn this certification this year, making the accomplishment especially noteworthy. Safety plays a critical role in the electric utility industry. The work performed by lineworkers, technicians, and field crews often takes place in challenging environments where careful planning and proper training are essential. Advanced safety education like the CLCP program helps ensure that employees have the knowledge, tools, and procedures needed to work safely while continuing to provide reliable service to members. Mo has been part of the Lake Region team for two years and brings a strong background in safety and risk management to the cooperative. He graduated from Northeastern State University in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety Management. In his role as Safety Coordinator, Mo works to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization, helping to protect employees and the communities that Lake Region Electric Cooperative serves.
Please join us in congratulating Mo on this outstanding achievement. We are grateful for his dedication and proud to have him helping keep our team and our members safe.
