LREC Awards 2026 Scholarships to Local Students
Lake Region Electric Cooperative recently celebrated its 2026 scholarship recipients, Wyatt Stephens and Uriah Workman. Both are recent graduates of Tahlequah High School and plan to pursue degrees in engineering. Wyatt will attend the University of Oklahoma, while Uriah will attend Northeastern State University as they begin the next chapter of their education. Earlier this spring, Wyatt and Uriah participated in LREC’s annual scholarship competition, which included an essay and interview process. Following the competition, each student was selected to receive a $2,500 scholarship to help further their education. LREC’s scholarship program is one of the many ways the cooperative invests in local youth and the communities we serve. By supporting students as they pursue higher education, LREC is proud to play a small part in helping prepare the next generation for bright and successful futures. Congratulations, Wyatt and Uriah!
