Meet Trent!

Trent has been a lineman with Lake Region for 7 years and is always willing to lend a hand and be a great ambassador for our co-op. Here are the questions we asked him so our members can get to know him better. Thank you for all you do to keep the power flowing behind the switch for our members.

Why did you want to become a lineman?

“I knew I wanted a career that would never get old or boring, something exciting and new every day, most days anyway. The line industry is that and more. Let’s be real, I also wanted to do really cool stuff with cool people. Plus, I’ve got the best stories at family gatherings now.”

What advice would you give someone interested in becoming a lineman?

“Leave your ego at the door and don’t be afraid to ask questions. You’ll learn so much by watching and listening to the old guys. Don’t let them outwork you. Be first out of the truck, ready to go, and bring a positive attitude.”

An interesting fact about you:

“Most people think I’m witty, but really I just blurt out the first thing that comes to mind without thinking.”

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

“I enjoy tinkering with and fixing up older trucks and vehicles. I also like playing golf with my son and family, even though I’m terrible at it, and of course aggravating my significant other, Kassey.”

Favorite food:

“Dockside Pizza. Best pizza money can buy. It’s located at Blue Water Bay Marina in Pettit Bay. Everyone should try it. You will not be disappointed.”
