Work Zone Safety Matters: Help Protect Our Crews on HWY 80

Lake Region Electric crews are currently working along HWY 80 to relocate distribution lines as part of an ongoing road improvement project. As this important work continues, we’re asking drivers to use extra caution when traveling through the area to help protect all crews working roadside.

Work zones can change quickly, and a few simple precautions can make a big difference in keeping everyone safe. Drivers should slow down and move over when possible, maintain a safe distance from equipment and crew members, obey posted signs and flagger instructions, and avoid distractions behind the wheel. Allowing extra travel time and staying alert, especially during low visibility conditions, can help prevent accidents and keep traffic moving safely.

Our crews are working hard to complete this project safely and efficiently while continuing to provide reliable service to our members. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and commitment to helping keep everyone safe in and around work zones.
