Software Upgrade:

Planned Maintenance 11/9/26 - 11/16/26

Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) will soon conclude an important system upgrade. The co-op is migrating its internal customer management tools to a new, improved platform that offers stronger security, more efficient workflows, and greater member benefits. Our current customer management software is sunsetting, and we need to upgrade. To complete this work, LREC has scheduled a maintenance window from Monday, November 9, through Friday, November 16.

LREC and LRTC Fiber consumer account systems will be offline during the maintenance window. Please be aware that the following processes will be impacted:

  • Payments:  LREC and LRTC will not be able to process payments during the maintenance window. This includes payments made online, by phone, or in person. Payments that are dropped off at a LREC office or received by mail will be held in LREC’s safe and processed Monday, November 16.
  • Account changes:  LREC and LRTC will not be able to complete account changes such as service transfers, autopay changes, or address and phone updates.
  • SmartHub: LREC and LRTC’s online account management tool, SmartHub, will be offline during the maintenance window, and consumers will not be able to access their accounts in the app.
  • Disconnections for non-payment:  LREC will not disconnect electric services for non-payment the week of November 9th. Standard procedures will resume on November 16. LRTC will not disconnect internet services for non-payment the week of November 9th. Standard procedures will resume on November 16.

While general business may be limited, LREC’s outage management services will remain unaffected, and members should report power outages or electric service issues as normal by calling 918-772-2526. Likewise, LRTC tech support will remain available 24/7 and can be reached at 918-772-2526.

“We appreciate our members’ patience and understanding for the temporary inconvenience. The upgrade will improve our internal processes, giving our member service representatives new tools to better assist members and provide a new, convenient SmartHub app for our members,” said Glen Clark, CEO.

The system upgrade includes a new and improved SmartHub app for LREC and LRTC consumers. Previously, consumers were required to access their LREC and LRTC accounts through two separate applications. Starting November 16, consumers can conveniently access their LREC and LRTC accounts through one combined SmartHub app.

“Soon, our members will have a single application where they can access and manage both of their accounts with just the touch of a button. In addition to being able to make changes to their accounts easily, the added simplicity our members get from having access to both their account details helps,” said Larry Mattes, Director of Marketing.

LREC members and LRTC consumers can download the new SmartHub app from the App Store or Google Play by searching SmartHub, Utilities. For more information on how to get started with SmartHub, visit the co-op’s online information hub at:
